A band for 11 years running and best friends for twice as long, Silent Old Mtns. has warmed the hearts of many with the approachable sincerity of their energetic live shows and their policy of treating fans as family. The Mtns. have released two studio albums, Velvet Raccoon and Gary, and have given countless high-fives and thumbs-ups.

Silent Old Mtns. released their debut album, Velvet Raccoon, on June 19th, 2012. At the release of Velvet Raccoon, the band began touring Nationally in a repurposed short school bus. The band averaged 100 performances a year from 2011-2013.

In October 2013, the band decided to take a hiatus, which lasted until July 11, 2015. After reuniting, the band released a new song in October 2015 titled Trenches. Trenches was recorded in a span of twelve hours in an abandoned newspaper warehouse and was the band’s first release since Velvet Raccoon.

After the release of Trenches, the band began writing new material that would become the makings of a sophomore record. From August 2017 until January 2019, the band recorded their album, Gary, which was released on December 6th, 2019, and is available everywhere.
